PHOENIX RISING YOGA THERAPY
Your sacred space is where you find yourself again and again.
—Joseph Campbell
As we struggle to keep up with the hectic pace of our busy lives, we may find ourselves longing for simplicity, inner peace, and deeper meaning, for a way to heal our bodies, our spirits, and our selves. Though at times we look for outside sources to guide us, somewhere deep inside we know that we must slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and listen to our own inner voice. A Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy session is a one-on-one process that encourages this deeper connection with self.
During a session, I guide you through meditation, breath work, and assisted yoga postures while you are given the opportunity to notice deeper patterns and sensations that may be happening physically, mentally and emotionally. I use non-directive dialog to bring your attention to what is happening in the present moment and reflect your observations back to you, while witnessing you without direction or judgment. This process can foster insight into long-held patterns, emotional release, relaxation, and healing.
What conditions or types of people would benefit from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy? All of us can benefit from taking the time to tune in to ourselves and really listen to our bodies in the presence of a non-judgmental witness. That said, this process can be especially beneficial for people who are going through a transition in their lives (a move, divorce, marriage, pregnancy, career change, death or illness of a loved one, etc.), for people looking to heal from past trauma (such as emotional, physical, or sexual abuse), for people with chronic physical pain or a chronic or terminal illness, and for anyone on a journey of personal growth looking to know him or herself better.
No yoga experience is necessary.
What is the length of a session? A first-time session usually lasts about 90 minutes to 2 hours. Subsequent sessions run 60-75 minutes. How often a client should come is dependent on the client. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is client-centered work, so for some people they may decide to work through things in multiple sessions, a few sessions, or just one session. Becoming more aware of yourself through this work will help guide you in how many sessions are appropriate for you.
What is the cost of a session? $85 per session • Package of three sessions $225
Cash, check, and credit (visa or MC) accepted as payment at the time of the appointment.
